We are so thankful for an incredible time last Thursday at the annual Spread the Good Luncheon! This is said with utmost sincerity: when we reflect on all of you who took the time to come to and/or sponsor the luncheon, we are so deeply honored and thankful. The support for the Foundation and the work of its donors in the community is felt and sincerely, deeply appreciated.
Dylan Fixmer, the composer-in-residence for the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra (GPO), was our presenter. What a gift he has created in his work called Seven Symphonic Portraits!
In the summer of 2021, the GPO along with the Weld Community Foundation commissioned Fixmer to write a symphonic work dedicated to the City of Greeley and the people of Weld County, Colorado. Prompted by the question “What brings us here?” Fixmer researched the historical and contemporary, discovering rich stories that make up Greeley and Weld County’s past and present.
An event like this wouldn’t happen without help from the Foundation’s sponsors! We are so thankful for their support and they are listed here alongside some pictures from the event. Here’s to another great year in giving… Spread the Good!
