Did you know August 26th is Women’s Equality Day and commemorates the 1920 adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment? The day actually celebrates a 100 year centennial in 2020.

What an excellent time to release episode 2 of the Weld Found Podcast, titled “Courageous Women and the County that Loves Them”.

This show highlights four women from Weld county: Rattlesnake Kate (local legend), Neyla Pekarek (formerly of The Lumineers), Katie Shilts (Women’s Fund Board President), and Mary Claxton (Trash Cat).

Take courage! This is a good one.

To honor what we all cherish about our county, the Weld Community Foundation has commissioned a book by the renowned photographer John Fielder.
