The Weld Community Foundation (WCF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization created in 1997 when two area foundations merged. Its mission is to strengthen the bonds that make our communities thrive through engaged philanthropy. WCF’s values are grounded in being transparent, being professional, and being for everyone.

WCF acts as a steward for local individuals and organizations who entrust their gifts to its care to build a permanent endowment for our community. The Foundation currently has assets of approximately $62 million with an annual administrative budget of $780,000. In 2024, WCF awarded $4 million in scholarship, grant, and program support.

Position Summary

TITLE: Support Administrator

REPORTS TO:President/CEO

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position works under the supervision of the President and Chief Operating Officer and primarily assists with the day-to-day operations of the Finance Officer such as recording financial transactions, accounts payable/receivable, assisting with completion of annual audit and tax forms, and other administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial:

·       Assist in preparing, recording and processing gifts and accounts payable, invoices, expense coding and data entry

·       Work with Finance Officer on preparation for the annual audit, 990, and other periodic reports 

·       Prepare weekly gift acknowledgements 

Administrative:

·       Phone and guest reception

·       Assist with donor, customer service activities

·       Assist Finance and Program Officers with grant applications and final grant reports 

·       Assist with periodic review, maintenance, and updating of Policies and Procedures

·       Maintain digital files of donor agreements, documentation, activity

·       Maintain in CSuite donor birthdays and prepare card mailings 

·       Update database as time allows

·       Order office supplies as needed

·       Assist with Foundation mailings 

·       Assist with RSVP for component funds

·       Assists with updating Code of Conduct forms for all staff, board, committees, and volunteers

·       Other projects and duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Experience with accounting software required

Experience with Microsoft Office applications required

Experience working with nonprofit organizations helpful

SPECIFICS

Salary:            Salary range for this position is $40,000 – $48,000/year and is commensurate with experience.

Hours:            Full-time M-F 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Rare but occasional after-hours meetings, events.

Training:        Training specific to Community Foundation policies and procedures will be provided.
